What is a cookie?

A cookie is data that could be saved onto your computer, telephone, iPad, etc., when you visit an Internet website. A cookie is a text file that contains regular text or binary data.

  • The main purpose of cookies is to be used to improve user experience on a website.
    Typical examples: Remembers if you are logged on or not. User settings on website. Statistics on your visit to the website.

Types of cookies

There are three types of cookies:

  • First-part cookies: Cookies that the website saves onto the computer
  • Third-part cookies: Cookies that are saved by third party programs, like Facebook and Google Analytics. They are non-harmful just like first-part cookies
  • Session cookies: Temporary cookies that are deleted when you leave the website

Cookies on Techdio’s website

Cookies are used on Techdio’s website. Their purpose is to improve your user experience so the website becomes more pleasant to use.

The following cookies are used:

  • Measurement of user behavior (Google Analytics and Sitecore) to improve the website (Third-part cookies)
  • Optimizing of user experience on the website (First-part cookies and session cookies)

To avoid cookies

You can block all cookies from Techdio. Chose advanced cookie-setting in your browser. Add www.techdio.dk/en/ to the list of websites that you don’t want to receive cookies from. You can also delete other cookies your browser may have saved.

Collection/Use of personal data

Techdio does not give any personal data to any third party, unless you give consent to disclosure of data, and Techdio does not collect personal data, without you have given us these data by registration etc. contact formula or whistleblowing notification. Techdio collects data such as name, phone number and e-mail.

Personal data is being used to complete the service that the data was collected for. Furthermore, the data is being used to gain more knowledge about you and other users of the site. This can include surveys and analyses aimed at improving our products, services and technologies.

You have the right to know about the personal data that are registered about you, and you can object to the registration according to the rules in General data protection regulation.

Protection of personal data

Pursuant to the General data protection regulation your data must be stored safely and on a confidential basis. Techdio will save your personal data on computers with limited access, which are placed in supervised/verified facilities, and our security precautions are being controlled on regular basis to ensure if the data are being handled properly and having regard to you rights as a “user”. We cannot guarantee 100 percent safety, when processing data via the Internet. This means, that there can be a risk of unauthorised access to data, when data is send and being stored electronic. Submitting your data is on one’s own risk/responsibility.

Personal data will be deleted or anonymized on regular basis, when the purpose that were collected for, is attained. Personal data will be stored at a maximum of 6 months.

To the extent that personal data is being processed, you have according to the data protection law, the right to know, which data that can be traced back to you, are incorrect and misleading, you have the right to demand these adjusted/corrected, deleted or blocked. You can object at any time about data being used. You can also withdraw your consent.

It is possible to submit/file a complaint about the processing of data concerning you. You must file a formal complaint to The Danish Data Protection Agency, cf. data protection law § 58, stk. 1.
